pregnancy & postpartum pelvic care
holistic support • rooted confidence
Pregnancy and childbirth transforms your body, especially the musculoskeletal system and pelvic floor. As your baby grows, your pelvis widens, joints loosen, and abdominal muscles stretch, creating new movement patterns and pressure. Pelvic floor physical therapy offers personalized support through assessment and treatment, helping you ease pain and discomfort, prepare your body for birth, and feel confident in your transformed body.

What treatment looks like
Each session is tailored to where you’re at on your pregnancy and postpartum journey. Early visits during pregnancy ease pain and build strength, while later sessions focus on birth prep. After delivery, we start with a comprehensive evaluation and create a personalized plan that may include hands-on therapy, posture and scar care, and activity modifications. No matter what phase you’re at, I’ll guide you through at-home exercises and provide education so you feel empowered to take charge of your health.
when to begin pelvic floor physcial therapy
The best time to start pelvic floor physical therapy is early in pregnancy, before discomfort develops. Early care helps us build a baseline, address imbalances, and give you tools to manage changes as your body grows, all while preparing you for birth and recovery. But it’s never too late to begin. Whether you’re mid-pregnancy or postpartum, we’ll tailor treatment to your stage and needs. While many begin postpartum treatment after the 6-week checkup, some concerns can be addressed sooner. Every journey is unique, and I’ll guide you at the time and pace that’s right for you.
